YouTube integration
How YouTube account consent, data use and authorization management work.

1. Service and intended users
Tainery Postiz is a privately administered, self-hosted tool for preparing content, scheduling posts and managing social channels. Access is limited to authorized users rather than open registration. Connecting YouTube requires Google's official OAuth consent screen. The service does not ask users to disclose or store their Google account passwords.
2. How to connect a YouTube channel
Sign into the management app, choose Add Channel, select YouTube, sign in to Google and grant the displayed permissions, select an authorized YouTube channel, then verify it appears in the Postiz calendar. The Google consent screen should display the app name Tainery Postiz. Account connection takes place only with the user's active choice and consent.
3. Specific use of Google data
Google profile and email details identify the connected account. YouTube channel ID, display name, thumbnail and video metadata are used to display available channels and publishing results. Videos the user uploads or schedules, together with any selected thumbnail, are sent to the YouTube Data API for publication to the authorized channel. Read-only YouTube Analytics data support user-requested, non-revenue performance statistics such as views, watch time and average view duration.
4. Google OAuth permissions actually requested
Tainery Postiz asks for only five permissions when connecting YouTube: userinfo.profile and userinfo.email to distinguish the connected Google identity; youtube.readonly to display channels and video details; youtube.upload to publish selected videos and custom thumbnails; and yt-analytics.readonly to show non-monetary channel analytics. The service does not request yt-analytics-monetary.readonly, youtubepartner, broad youtube or youtube.force-ssl permissions, and does not claim revenue reporting or partner CMS asset management.
5. Publishing actions directed by the user
The authorized user selects a channel, chooses the video and prepares a draft or publishing schedule. At the scheduled time the service uploads content to the selected authorized channel and reports the publishing result. Editing or deleting content already on YouTube remains subject to YouTube's separate features and channel permissions. Users are informed that scheduled publishing occurs on their behalf.
6. Difference between channel removal and OAuth revocation
'Remove from Postiz (not revoke)' does not revoke Google OAuth authorization. To withdraw Google access, users can revoke Tainery Postiz at Google Security Settings for connected apps. The service does not represent its existing channel-removal action as an implemented immediate Google token revocation function. For deletion of stored user data, email keipodbeats@gmail.com; the Tainery operator is responsible for handling that request.
7. Data handling, deletion and policies
Tainery Postiz handles Google user data within the user's authorized scope and follows the Limited Use requirements of the Google API Services User Data Policy. Requests to delete stored data must be handled within seven calendar days of receipt, and related data following an external revocation in Google Security Settings must be removed within thirty calendar days of the revocation. Relevant historical backups must be handled separately from ordinary backup rotation. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for details.
